To create awareness, Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Limited, a 718MW (Net) Gas Based CCPP organized different activities among schools and community around the project area. The Company also distributed and planted 1050 tree saplings of different species to the school, students and villagers around the project area, Department of Environment, Union Parishad office, Upazilla Nirbahi Office, Highway Police on the occasion of World Environment Day.
Thirty students from three local schools participated in an art competition on World Environment Day theme. Cleaning drive near the project area was taken as a commitment to keep our environment clean. The employees of Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Limited, Samsung C&T Corporation, sub-contractors, children from schools, local community took part in the activities.
The initiatives were well supported and appreciated by the local community, schools, Govt. offices and local Police Thana.
Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Limited is developing a 718 MW (Net) capacity combined cycle power plant at Meghnaghat, Sonargaon, Narayanganj.
