Ranjan Lohar

Chief Executive Officer

Ranjan Lohar is a dynamic and fiscal conscious technocrat with 32 years of experience in power and infrastructure sector. He approaches business challenges with intrinsic flair for innovation and creative problem solving to consistently drive the bottom-line improvements and streamlined operations. He is the CEO of Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Ltd, a SPV co-owned by Jera, Japan and Reliance Power, India and is leading development of 718 MW combined cycle power plant at Meghnaghat, Bangladesh.

He has worked in leadership roles with P&L responsibility in India, Nepal and Bangladesh in thermal, hydro and electricity distribution businesses.

Takao Onuki

Chief Financial Officer

Takao Onuki has been successfully carrying out overseas electric power business in Tokyo Electric Power Company and later JERA for 20 years by utilizing his splendid knowledge and experience. He had made a great contribution to the development of international IPP projects as well as the acquisitions of the international power assets in Asia.

As part of his career, Takao Onuki was working as Team Energy’s EVP (Finance) and CFO from 2007 to 2011 in the Philippines. Currently, Takao Onuki is concurrently assuming the position of SVP, Business Development of JERA Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore with an additional charge of Chief Financial Officer at Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Limited.”

Takahiro Kobayashi

Chief Technical Officer

Takahiro Kobayashi is Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Ltd, SPV co-owned by JERA, Japan and Reliance Power, India and is leading development of 718MW combined cycle power plant at Meghnaghat, Bangladesh. He is a technical expert of thermal power plant development, construction, operation and maintenance with 27 years’ experience.

He is a Professional Engineer (Mechanical) and is member of Gas Turbine Institute and Japan Society of Thermal and Nuclear Power Engineering. He has worked in technical leadership roles with development and operation in Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Mozambique, and Bangladesh in thermal power business. He strongly wishes to be able to contribute the support of Bangladesh economic & energy growth through the 718MW Meghnaghat CCGT Project.
